Pre-Vet Club Percentage Night at Terrapin - Saturday, January 25 (5:30-8:30pm)
The Pre-Vet Club at UGA invites you to Terrapin Brewery to have fun,
drink local beer, and help the animal community— all at once!
Each year, the members of the Pre-Vet Club set out to increase awareness, raise funds, and provide support for a local philanthropy in Athens, Georgia. This year, we have selected the G.R.A.C.E. Fund.
The G.R.A.C.E. (Grace, Rosemary, Athena Canine Emergency) Fund is designed to help clients of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Teaching Hospital who have demonstrated financial need to help cover the cost of any medical procedure for their dog. The fund is set up to help dogs who are ill, injured, or require routine care which their owners cannot afford. The G.R.A.C.E. Fund will pay for preventive care as well as treatment for diseases like cancer, hip dysplasia, eye and skin diseases, diabetes, arthritis, obesity, and a host of other ailments from which dogs may suffer.
In order to further our fundraising effort, we will be holding a percentage night at Terrapin Brewery (265 Newton Bridge Rd., Athens, GA 30607 – Google Map below) on Saturday, January 25 from 5:30-8:30pm. They will be selling commemorative beer glasses (designed by one of the club members!) at the door for $12, and $2 from each glass will go directly towards the G.R.A.C.E. fund!
Come also to enjoy live music, tour the brewery, win free prizes, get your pet’s portrait taken, and learn more about the Pre-Vet Club, G.R.A.C.E., and other animal-related charities and organizations.
*This event is open to people of all ages — but do keep in mind that you must be 21 in order to drink!*
